Is said one of the great Italian poets
was actually a spy, an elite under-
cover government operative who
sent back reports in a fourteen line
format & who disguised himself as
a cheerleader in order to pass un-
noticed. The disguise is a classic
trope, but usually the reason is
either a short skirt / pompom fet-
ish or a ploy to infiltrate a girls'
club. Remember, though, that any
poem with fourteen lines may be a
spy's report. That all that is needed
to decipher it is to identify the key.
