mark, please come to sac in mid july to august where these kinds of spikes in mercury are common as hell. we never get used to it. i think even the murder rate sharply increases. but there is no better weather than this to sit at the drive-in with a good friend with many beers and a really bad movie flickering up on screen. then the heat - for it can be still way in the 90s f in the middle of the night - is almost magic. call me a masochist.
