Diogenes reborn

I did not always live in
a barrel, said the famous
philosopher, adjusting his
position just a little though
enough to show his better
side. I used to live in a
trailer park. Then someone
told me about reality tv
& webcams & the internet
& how there was this
vast audience out there
fascinated by the trivial
things of life. Thought
about it for a while; finally
decided what the fuck!
Needed a gimmick so
came up with this. I reach
more people this way. &
besides, with the artificial
lighting I’ve set up, I no
longer have to worry
about someone getting
between me & the sun.

Lost Momentum

I am reading about
moments, but this
piece takes longer than
that to get through.
& in the moments
that it takes to read
more pieces arrive
momentarily & even

if I only take two or
three moments to read
each of them & leave
out those that are not
poetry I will never
get through them all.

Today the post-
woman brought
me a punching
bag in the like-
ness of Donald
Trump. I'm

thinking about
sending it back.
a + b – a = b —
I've done the
maths. If you
knock the shit

out of a shithead
you're left with
just the head. &
who wants to
be left with a
head like that?
